Microsoft Pressure  ultrabook vendors to enable touch technology for Windows 8

Microsoft has continues to put pressure on ultrabooks vendors to enable the touch devices on the market. It may be difficult for the company to get adjust their Metro Windows 8 style user Interface (UI). This high percentage would explain the recent commitment to the existing Microsoft Windows 7 touch hardware and details of their work to improve the tactile in the next release of Windows 8.

Although the Touch hardware is an optional component for ultrabooks manufacturers, Digitimes says that 30 percent of the models ultrabook arrives later this year with touch technology also thanks to the participation of Microsoft in the process of hardware design.

There are certain Windows 8 touch PCs hardware requirements, including support for a minimum of five contact points and a minimum component set for tablet and convertible PCs.

According to sources, to support the capabilities of touch technologies available on Windows 8, the laptop manufacturers will release models with lids ultrabook both folding and sliding.

It is expected that changes in the exterior designs like touch technology, along with the adoption of the new interface will surely increase the efficiency of Windows 8.
